Harry potter magic capsules series 111/20/2023 ![]() ![]() Overall we love the concept of the Harry Potter Magical Capsules – my boy thoroughly enjoyed opening them and loved the little clues, in particular the spell that you uncover after dipping in water. He’s a fairly sturdy character that easily stands up and goes perfectly with the accessories. We found Snape in our final packet – although I think we’d already guessed that a few clues in. He was indeed correct with who we got – have you worked out who it will be yet? So here are our contents of our clues and accessories – my boy absolutely loved opening these and trying to guess his character from them. We saved the biggest one until last knowing that it would contain the main figure. The packages look really cool and my boy was excited to discover what was inside. Then it’s time to open the biggest door on the back of the Harry Potter Magical Capsule where you will find five bags to open up along with a checklist showing all of the available characters to collect in series 1. ![]() My boy thought this was really exciting and loved revealing this clue. At first it appears blank but when you dip it into water the spell appears. We got green so we knew our character would be from Slytherin.Ĭlue two is found behind the second door and contains a spell. To find out more you simply have to turn over the crest and rub your finger on it until it turns a colour and this tells you which house your character will be from. The first compartment contains a Hogwart’s crest which is the first clue. This is also perfect for storage of the parts when not being played with or displayed. The treasures vary, but in the three capsules opened for this review, each featured two little trinkets: a strip of paper that reveals the name of a spell when you run it under water and a tiny, heat-sensitive Hogwarts insignia that, if you rest your thumb on it, reveals your House by changing color (blue for Ravenclaw, green for Slytherin, etc.). Each capsule has three compartments–two on the top, and a large one right in the middle.Įach compartment contains a small toy or game–a sort of stocking stuffer before you get to the main prize. The container, however, is not a straightforward “crack open, receive figure” affair. It’s the rest of the package, however, that makes Yume Toys’ line worthwhile.Įvery Magical Capsule comes in a golden container shaped like the Hogwarts crest. Without articulation, they seem like the kind of figure you’d throw on a keychain or line up on a car dashboard. The figures themselves are cute collectibles that serve as a fun set, but they aren’t particularly exciting. (It’s only a shadow on the included checklist but, based on his absence, I would guess Dumbledore? Voldemort, maybe? Only time will tell!) There is even an ultra-rare mystery character. The included characters range from the more common Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, and Luna up to the rarer Snape or Cho Chang. The first series of these blind collectible figures features 10 Harry Potter characters, each 2 inches tall and stylized like a Harry Potter anime adaptation.
